The young members of the Storioni Trio give an exceptionally light and sparkling accounts of Schubert’s two piano trios. These Trios may be among the deepest of Schubert’s chamber music works, but they are still well served by such an approach, giving the music light and air…the disc is beautifully rounded off by a sprung account of the finale of the E Flat Trio, again very steady in tempo, with brilliant scales from the pianist and sharp syncopations adding to the impact….
